God the Father:
Gracefully grant me a heart of flesh;
Without it I am calloused to Your Ways.
Gracefully grant me eyes of faith;
Without them I am blind to Your Moves.
Gracefully grant me an attitude of humility;
Without it I am a danger to my brothers and sisters--Your Children.
Gracefully grant me a gentle spirit;
Without it I am violent towards all those You bring into my path.
Gracefully grant me a quiet mind;
Without it I am lost in the noise of life.
This I request in the name of Your Son Jesus,
And at the behest of Your Holy Spirit.
Amen.

- I like being around people who value authenticity above expectations. I like people who think critically and act creatively, rather than those who think it their responsibility to capture the latest trends, mash them all together, and vomit them out. I am challenged by those who remain humble and gentle, even with a good deal of authority and righteousness behind them. I seem to be learning the same things over and over again, like "a long obedience in the same direction." I am glad that the depth of God will forever remain beyond me; it makes for a good adventure every day.
